Endless Belts

Endless Belts

Vulcanizing endless belts is merging both ends using hot or cold bonding. It’s an option that allows clients to resolve problems associated with mechanical joints. The product is less likely to get caught on the joint and the joint itself does not get tangled on the rollers.

Benefits

  • Prevents residual materials from accumulating inside the joint, a more hygienic solution
  • Reduces the risk of growth of bacteria
  • Less wear related to mechanical joints on conveyor components
  • Belts are less noisy
  • Superior flexibility
  • Increased strength of joint

Options

  • Finger splice; the most common endless splicing system
  • Double fingers; used when there are premature popping issues with fingers on a traditional finger splice—double layer adds extra strength
  • Finger on bias or double fingers bias; used on applications that have nose bars present, the angle allows the splice area to maneuver the nose bar at different times to avoid high friction jams
  • Skive splice; for non-woven and nylon core belts
  • Step splice; commonly used on rubber belts in heavier applications, retains the highest percentage of the belt strength
  • Lap over finger; used when belt is prone to premature finger popping issues, often in troughing applications

Hidden Splice

Hidden Splice

The hidden splice is a hybrid between the mechanical fastener and the endless belt. The top cover is split from the carcass of the belt. The cover is hot vulcanized with a Clipper® in place, leaving a splice that has the looks and benefits of an endless belt, but with the added benefit of being able to separate the clipper lace.

Benefits

  • The hidden lace can protect the lace from material buildup
  • Ease of installation that can be carried out by the customer himself
  • Compatible with conveyor accessories (ex.: scraper)

Other manufacturing

Cleats

Cleats are heat-sealed with high frequency onto the belt and become an integral part of the belt.

Benefits

  • Lower bacteriological contamination risk
  • Superior esthetics
  • Configuration possibilities of cleats are almost endless
