Modular plastic belts

Molded modular plastic belts are assembled with plastic or stainless steel rods. Modular belts are available in several steps, from ½” to 2 ½” up to 70% openings from the surface of the belt for several diverse applications. These belts are driven by gears, so misalignment and slipping are avoided compared to conventional belts. Different styles of modular belts offer ways of working in the right, curved or spiral section.

Typical materials are made of:

Polypropylene
Polypropylene is generally used for standard applications with ambient temperatures of 34 °F to 220 °F (1 °C to 104 °C). It offers good chemical resistance and support medium loads operating at low cost.
Polyethylene
Due to its excellent release effect and resistance against impact, polyethylene is popularly used in the food industry. It is often recommended in environments with low ambient temperature about -58 °F to 176 °F (-50 °C to 80 °C).
Acetal
Drawing for high operating loads and resistant to cuts and scratches, acetal is a reliable material in most applications without abrasive impact. It can be used for applications with operating temperatures from -40 °F to 194 °F (-40 °C to 90 °C).
Nylon
Mainly used in dry and abrasive situations, nylon offers good chemical resistance and allows high load operation. Various mixtures of this material allow it to be used with temperatures up to 400 °F (205 °C).
